Call for Posters/Demo

The KDWEB Poster and Demo Session is a forum to encourage interactions among researchers, practitioners, and master/PhD students. The session allows them to present their new and innovative work in-progress. Submitted posters or demos are expected to be aligned with one or more of the workshop relevant topics.

Posters will give conference attendees an opportunity to learn novel on-going research projects though informal interactions. Accepted authors will be asked to create a poster to be displayed in a dedicated area, and present their work during a session at the workshop. Valid poster formats are a single slide of about 24″x36″ (ISO A1) or alternatively up to 9 ISO A4 slides.

Demonstrations provide researchers and practitioners with an exciting and interactive opportunity to present their systems, artifacts and/or research prototypes, either at a regular session or at the technical exhibition. In any case, it is required to avoid a commercial format, even if the demo consists of presenting a business product or service. Instead, the presentation should focus on technical aspects.

Both poster and demo papers will be peer-reviewed by members of the Committee based on  their originality and novelty, potential contribution to the research field, potential impact in particular use cases, and the usefulness of presented experiences, as well as their overall readability. Both poster and demonstration papers must be up to 4 pages length, and must be formatted according to Springer’s LNCS style guidelines. Accepted poster or demo papers will be inserted in the conference proceedings.
